ABOUT
David Billström had his sights set on becoming an artist. But during art studies in England he recieved a left over guitar from a fellow student. Inspired by pop, rock, folk and blues he soon started writing his own songs.”Besides music I’m also very interested in art, film and theater and for me it all blends togheter. You get different ideas and then you have a choice of how you want to express it – in music or film or maybe a painting.”
Back in Sweden David wanted to play with a band. He knew some good musicians in his hometown Leksand and from the remnants of The Tallest Man on Earths former band he formed The Jawbreakers.
David & Goliat is his solo project as a singer songwriter and his melodies and lyrics caused the Swedish music magazine Gaffa to draw comparisons with Bob Dylan and The Beatles. He has been the opening act for Swedish artists Nisse Hellberg (Wilmer X) and Love Antell.
In May 2019 the first full length album, named "David & Goliat" was released on Spotify and iTunes.
